Teak Care
Bring back the golden glow without destroying your teak
Gentle cleaning, brightening, sanding, and sealing for uniform tone. Preserve your teak investment with proper care.
Teak is beautiful, durable, and expensive—which is why harsh cleaning methods that prioritize quick results over long-term health are so frustrating.
You've probably seen it: other services blast your teak with strong acid cleaners, power-wash with high pressure, or sand aggressively to achieve that golden color. The deck looks amazing for a week, but you've removed years of life from your teak in the process.
Our conservation approach is different: we preserve your teak's thickness and structural integrity for decades of use.

Maintenance Guidance
Learn how to maintain results between professional treatments
Should I let my teak go natural or keep it sealed?
Both are valid choices. Natural (weathered gray) teak is low-maintenance and traditional. Sealed teak maintains golden color but requires reapplication every 6-12 months. We'll explain pros and cons to help you decide.
Will sanding damage my teak?
Excessive sanding or using too-coarse grits absolutely damages teak. We use fine grits (120-220) and sand only enough to remove damaged surface layers. Most teak can be safely sanded 3-5 times over its lifetime with proper technique.
Can you fix black spots and mildew?
Yes. Black spots are tannin stains or mildew and respond well to two-part cleaning systems. Deeply embedded stains may require light sanding, but most can be cleaned without removing material.
What's the best teak sealer?
Depends on your priorities. Traditional teak oil is easy to apply and looks natural but requires frequent reapplication. Synthetic sealers last longer (up to 12 months) and provide better UV and water protection. We'll recommend based on your usage.
